I've learned so much from the computer that I apply in my paintings. The computer is a tool whose greatest asset is speed. Breakthroughs for artists only come through trial and error, and working on a digital representation of your ideas lets you do a dozen studies in the time it would take to do one painting.

It is very easy in creating visual art, especially digital visual art, to find a certain formula that works to create an interesting visual effect. This gimmickry can become a crutch, and it is something I consciously address in every work I attempt.
